The war zone-like statistics are not new. As WBEZ reports, while some 2,000 U.S. troops have been killed in Afghanistan since 2001, more than 5,000 people have been killed by gun fire in Chicago during that time, based on Department of Defense and FBI data. ( i did not make this up)

Probably 75% of those deaths are drug related. Chicago is in the middle of a drug war over territory. Same thing is happening in Milwaukee.

Same as the last round of Prohibition. It did NOT work for booze, It is NOT working for drugs and it will NEVER work for tobacco or guns. Government just does not learn nor do the get it. THEY are almost always the cause of crime. More laws will never stop crime, they will just create more criminals.
