I wonder which one(s) they will show at the Expo. I find it puzzling the top gvw is 10,360 which puts it into logging territory by only 360 pounds. If they were going to ruin it why not go up to 11k like the ruined Sprinter.

If you mentioned logging to someone at Ford, they would tell you it was never intended to haul timber.

Lets hope the 10,360 is the dual rear wheels. I was told by a Ford engineer that the truck would be just under the 10,000 limit. He stated they were very well informed about these weight limits for expediters and contractors. I'm thinking 250 at 8,600 the 350 srw at 9,900 and the 350 srw is the 10,360 unit.

Yes, the 10,360 is DRW. The SRW is available @ 9,950. AND unlike the E350, the T350 is available at 178" WB AND SRW... perfect for the next gen XLT10!!!

I'm not sure if they thought that out for Canada though... I think the limit in Canada is 9,900, but I could be wrong.

considering they don't even have a suspension system the European engineers could agree with the American engineers....and the fact it has been modified about 6-7 times already...which could alter the finished weights of the product.

I'm hoping its not locked up like the one at the Detroit show. Lets hope if its required to stay locked that the folks bringing it in take some pictures of the inside with a tape measure showing some dimensions. Hint Hint

They should drop one off at Florence Y'all Ky about a week before the show for LM to use for a week.

He will bring it to the show.

What good would that do since the vehicle won't be available till sometime late next year.

They don't have a clue where interest rates will be when it's finally available! LOL. I think their bringing it because people are already starting to lose interest. I wanted to get one this fall but I'm actually thinking of taking another look at the new Dodge. You probably won't have a new Ford in time for the 2014 Expo.

Are you going to get the new Dodge for the show or just the Ford and a Sprinter

They can have one at this years show, but what good will that do since Ford doesn't expect them to hit the market till sometime next summer. Then again, there could be another delay just like 2013, now the 2014 all because of supply issues.

That will leave anyone wanting to purchase in the next 12 months a two options for sprinter type vehicles. Sprinter of ProMaster.

Now what we don't know is the costs of parts and for service on the diesel engines for the ProMaster. Now we do know the costs of a Sprinter which is high and still going higher.

We do know that the Sprinter is longer in all aspects wheel base 170 to 159 cargo length 15.5 to 13.3, even my 05 is longer then the ProMaster. Weight carrying goes to the ProMaster 3500 and so does the distance between the wheel wells 53 to 56 for the ProMaster. Costs are within a few thousand of each other.

Why would anybody want to buy either one of these new sprinter clones

I Drive an originator ........not a duplicator

PS -to the Ford and Chrysler engineers.....go back and start from scratch....... this time ask for an expeditors opinion (since we are the one's going to be buying them)

I imagine there are a lot more plumbers, carpet layers, newspaper guys than there are expeditors in the Sprinter market.

You guys are probably not as important as you think you are.
Not important enough to sway decisions on mass builds of any one vehicle.
