new hope for cancer treatment

I realize this isn't an expediting topic but I've placed it here because it is so exciting and truly brings something new to the fight against cancer. I find it interesting both from the cancer fighting aspect and the ham radio aspect. One of the most interesting facets I've heard is it may allow fighting cancers that currently are unreachable. That it does so without the toxic affects of chemo and radiation is both amazing and a tremendous blessing to those who eventually will undergo the treatment. Here's info on it.

Leo,
I am very glad that someone has brought this up to the public, it has been well known since the 30's what the effects of RF on tissue and cells have and the resulting Cancer.

Reversing the effects is a great thing, I hope that the universities and researchers will return to investigating it again. Maybe in the ten years of sooner if the FDA gets out of the way, we can get these things into the publics reach.

One of the reasons of the FCC putting RF radiation safety questions in the ham tests and their concerns over cell phones ties to cancer with their cellular telephone specific absorption measurement program is the high Cancer rates among RF engineers and operators.

I think that this is a departure from this stuff being ignored by the media, in the past it has been completely ignored because of the effects it may have on other industries.

They have some very promising trials going on here in Houston at M.D. Anderson and also in Pittsburgh. The researchers involved are regarded as tops in their field. There was a segment on this on 60 Minutes last Sunday that suggested human trials may be about 3 years away. The testing in animals is going extremely well. Like so many things, the RF has the potential to be extremely beneficial as well as damaging depending on how it's used.
