so we had a load thru that storm last thursday nite so bend to nj. what fun. (cue reo...riding the storm out). we then got a shortie to mass.

saturday became a tourist day. boston had declared a snow emergency(60 inches so far, avg is 20) so we went away from bean town.

first stop was plymouth rock. many trips to the boston area and had never seen where the pilgrims landed.

someone defaced the rock!! no it is a replacement. the original was worn down by tidal waters and this one put down. speaking of put down when they installed it, it cracked. nice natl monument.

speaking of nice natl monuments i wonder what the pilgrims thought of this parthenon when they arrived? well it was put up in 1929 by the women of mayflower decendents or something like that. nothing like mixing your cultures.

then it was off to groton just 90 min down the road.

it was 45 minutes until the nuke boat closed so we did that first.

you think you have a small bunk? the sailor handing out tour radios said to roll over he has to get his shoulders out of the bunk, reach his arms over his head then turn and return to sleep.

Glad to see someone else is familiar with a Richrath tune. Oh, for 1979 again, when REO used to be a rock band.
