Never buying GM product again

Now that Obama has forced the nationalization of General Motors, who would buy their product? Of course, liberal Democrats will flock to the ever diminishing GM dealerships to support their president's experiment in a centralized command economy. We will soon be able to identify liberals and conservatives by their individual choice in automobile selection.

Liberals will take great pride, even calling it patriotic, to buy GM so as to show common cause with their Dear Leader. I suspect conservatives will want nothing to do with Obama Motors and will make an extra effort to identify themselves with a different manufacturer.

It is indeed very sad to watch what has become of GM. The UAW and their enablers in the Democrat Party brought GM to its downfall. They are all that is propping GM up now.

I bought a few GM cars over the years. No more.

My guess is there are a lot of people who are Chevy fans who will always by Chevy liberal or not. I know Chevy pickup drivers that will stop buying them when pried from their cold dead hands. I do not think one will be able to judge a persons politcal leaning by the vehicle they drive.

Most Americans have the attention span of a pea. They will forget what happened as soon as they crack thier next beer. That is why we are in this mess, they don't pay attention to what is going on around them. :(

Just on the basis that the cars are UAW made that decision will force me to not to buy a new GM product ever again. I never seen such twisting of the law and the cr*p that was pulled with GM. The UAW has zero investment in the company so they should get zero interest in the company. The idea that a line worker who is provided a job, deserves that stake in the company shows that there is a problem, the labor of the company is put over the investors of the company.

Well The grumblings of the former GM I heard last night will be as dilution of the SUVs to the point they will be gone in a few years if not sooner. The elimination of most of the truck line, selling off of GMC maybe happening, and a shift from the main stream midsize to a smaller car.

Now here is the kicker, the Buick and Cadillac are good sellers in China, they want to figure out how to make those there (no emission control laws) and reap the profits. We may be seeing the Chinese made "smart" car hitting our shores soon. Kind of ironic, we get the reformed econobox while they get the gas guzzling cars.

OK with that said, they already have a plan and depend on the American People to buy American. I have a feeling we will see a news blitz sometime soon followed by a marketing campaign that will tell us, the good citizens of the country, to order, wait our turn and buy the new Chevrolet or what ever they have to offer. As it seems to be the case, they have to really produce a lot quick to recover and maintain the status quo.

AND as I am watching all of this, I see Obama motors is not serious about saving money, the Ren Cen fight was over before it started. It made no sense that GM bought it in the first place, it had a 85% occupancy when GM kicked out the tenets and now with the tech center having too much empty spaces, it only makes sense to move it out of the city of Berlin, opps I mean Detroit and put it in the tech center.

Oh and speaking of Detroit, if you want your picture taken at the old Tiger Stadium, better do it quick - it is coming down finally. The city wants to see the owners sell the property for condos and what ever, remember we have a lot of pride here in the former Motor City, ripping everything down and making it look like a war zone (is this open space laws Tallcal?) - movies could be accurately made here like one that is set in Berlin 1945.

We SELDOM get ANY work of ANYKIND into our home area. This area has been devestated by "feel good" economics. There is not much left and they are working hard to do in the rest. You can NOT tax your way to prosperity, Michigan is dying proof of that. As to the auto industry, the left world wide has been working for years to wipe out the U.S. industrial base. They did. We will now start to see the results, fewer jobs will be the least important of the problems.

Maybe the new Goverment Motor's car will only turn left...

I've owned GM most of my life, I have a Z71, and a Yukon, now. My next GM car will be a 1955 Chevy Bel Air two door....Never a new one. Not until the CEObama gets out of it.

They will do REAL good in NASCAR then!!! LOL!! NASCAR is MORE proof that the Dumb-O-Crats are NOT really interested in cutting back on "GreenHouse" gases. If they were REALLY wanting to cut back they would be going after racing FIRST and all other forms of entertainment and THEN the trucking industry. Yeah, right. What a joke.

I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. --

Well it's the truth!

I was asked to drive an older German around a while ago, when Detroit wasn't as bad and he lived through the war in Berlin. He was here in the 50's when Detroit was a good place so I drove him where he used to work and so on. He said Detroit has become what Berlin was in April of 1945, just waste land but the difference now is no one is cleaning the place up - at least the germans cared enough to clean the streets when they could.

I was listening to the news last night, they were looking for three bodies that someone said they dumped a few weeks ago. The reported said they didn't find the bodies but they found something like 8 dead dogs and a number of other stuff that the reporter refused to say because it was too disgusting to say on public air waves.
