Locked my keys in the truck while it was backed in the dock at the plant across the street in the early 90's. The guys inside the plant were cool about it got me a wire hanger and I broke into my own truck, something I will never forget. They told me to check out the museum and yes the outside is not much, but the cars are sweet.

Have you ever stopped at the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg museum? It is in the original dealer showroom in Auburn, IN. I was there 10 years ago and it looks like they opened up a few new museums in the area since then. A lot of the cars there were owned by local families. Grandpa probably worked at the Auburn factory and these cars were passed down. With the mseum they have a free place to store their family treasures. There were also a lot of cars owned by a casino in Reno, NV. They had a Duesenberg owned by Errol Flynn and one of the few Tuckers not owned by the movie director Francis Ford Copolla.

A guy in the neighborhood has his own Harley museum on Sayner, WI. He was one of the guys (former V.P.) who bought H. D. from AMF a while back.

[JG you love Harleys? I have one enjoy it for ridding. I get no satisfaction over the history or antique bikes. Cars I love the old Muslce Cars and appriciate any old car but bikes?

Just see to many of the same ole same ole one at any Meet, they all look about the same to me its just personal prefrence as to how much chrome or paint, or how much motor.

Love my bike (Harley) but just for the sheer pleasure of ridding. Of course the sound of the pipes now thats cool. And even that is personal prefrence.

Since ya live in SC give me an EO email and maybee we could get together for a ride and you could change my mind on old ones.
