Well this was not a welcomed sight this morning.

Although I don't count calories, years of weight history will now half to find a new home.
The website and app both will be closing. It has been a easy beneficial tool that I will miss :(

Target #2 hit on the nose this morning. Target #3 added :)

With CalorieCount set to close in March, after 5 years of use, I'm exploring other options. Since my primary need is weight tracking, I'm trying out the app "Monitor your weight". So far I like it. It gives much more detailed information on my progress. I like that it includes BMI, body fat, and average daily and weekly loss. It really is a much smarter tool then what I've been using. Also, if I choose, it has several choices of wifi scales that it is compatible with. I don't know if I would ever go to a wifi scale, but it's a nice option to have.

    Milestone update...

50 pounds lost as of this morning

    25 pounds to go.

At this point, for me, the 25 remaining pounds seems like nothing, but a matter of time.

Time to get rid of this...

Hard to believe 55 down 19 lbs to go.
So I guess I need to lose my bowling ball

Although, part of me keeps thinking, is that really all I have left to lose?

I guess I'll find out when I get there.

    Health & More Update:

4 months since the official life style change. I don't like to call it a diet anymore, because to me, a diet sounds like a temporary thing. Which this is not. There is no end or completion, just a way of life now.

Besides losing 55 pounds so far, and despite still wearing the same (now very baggy) clothes, some health issues have been corrected.

My high blood pressure medicine was cut in half, and now I am medication free with perfect blood pressure :happydance:
Also, the too close for comfort diabetes scare is a thing of the past :clapping-happy:

    ----------------------------

Since I'm home, I made Eggplant Pizza for the first time.
I must admit, this was way down on my list for creative pizza making ideas.
But I saw the eggplant while shopping, and thought it was (reluctantly) time to try it.
I've never had eggplant before, didn't know what to expect, let alone even know what the hell an eggplant was, I just figured it had to be yucky

As I was getting my toppings together, by mistake I bought diced black olives instead of sliced.
Diced apparently also means pureed, which is what it looked like to me, and it smelled awful. So I just mixed it in with the other ingredients I had simmering and hoped for the best.

To my great surprise, this was the best tasting pizza I've made yet. The Eggplant was really good.
As usual, first time looked like a hot mess, but boy was it good :)

This is what it was suppose to look like

Pretty simple: you can put on what ever you like. Here is the actual recipe.

P.S.- I only used 3/4 of a eggplant, which was actually too much for one person. Adjust accordingly.

    March Madness...

With 76% of my weight loss goal reached, my goal for March is to get under the 200 pound weight threshold.

60 pounds lost as of today. At some point, I really need to get some smaller size clothes. This baggy look I'm sporting is getting old

    Hit two goals today.

Reached the under 200 pound March Madness goal. By a thread, but I'll take it.

But more importantly, I've gone from obese to overweight and now..
Normal weight. At the high end, but normal according to BMI

I lowered my target goal weight by a couple of pounds to 185 pounds.

    1- I like round numbers
2- Always had that number in mind, but really didn't think it was achievable.
3- 15 more pounds should put me right where I want to be.

Finally found sardines that actually taste good. Had them for over a month, but was not looking forward to eating them.

After choking down many cheaper brands, I made a last attempt effort with a more premium brand.

    Contains 1700mg Omega-3 per serving.

First time I ever wanted more, I guess you do get what you pay for

My reaction today when I saw that Walmart (at least this one in Tennessee) carries grass fed/finished ground beef
