Is it possible to work for more than one carrier at a time?

it possible to work for more than one carrier , what you have to have is your auth, and become a agent for them, that is how egl does it
when we run out of trucks we call one of our agents and he sents a truck over to carry the load for us
in hampton roads area there are a couple that egl use,
but they have to right amount of ins to carrier our loads

Most carriers have an exclusive use built into their lease agreement. Sometimes you can broker freight on your own then transport it under your leased carriers authority for a percentage of your revenue. But they certainly don't want you to help their competition.
