Mexican Drivers and Trucks

I was thinking and this popped into my head to address alot of issues.

When Mexican trucks enter the U.S they will be parked for 10 hours to start their clock on the HOS. After which ALL HOS rules must be followed.

Upon leaving the U.S. log book will be audited and any fines paid upfront. 3 violations and driver would be not allowed into U.S.

The IFTA will figure the average a truck pays a year for fuel tax and this must be paid up front and a sticker will be issued. No sticker no entry.

Fuel tanks must be no bigger then 300 gallons.

After all this exposure to the authorities the ability to speak and understand English would be substantiated.

I see the mexican trucks as being unsafe and unwelcome. All they will do is come up here and take jobs from english speaking Americans. We should have a right to work in our own country. In my oponion the border needs to be locked down. We are to busy trying to take care of everyone else that we don't even concern ourselves with our own people.

Well if the Mexican trucks pass U.S. standards there should be no problem? Correct?
And when them old rigs start breaking down here that'll help U.S towing companies.

And since there is going to be a shortage of drivers in the U.S. according to the ATA. This should help with that problem.

Most jobs lost will be at the warehouses in Texas border towns, like forklift operators and the like...and alot of them are prolly illegals anyhow..

BTW ark good to see Arkansas finally replace them old rest areas!!

At one point they were talking about shutting most of the rest areas down that couldn't be converted into truckstops. Mainly do to the amount of people being robbed and killed at them.
