Lyme Disease

My oldest sister has it. and because the disease is not recognized to be in the state of Texas Crisis of care: the Lyme controversy is costing Texans access to Lyme-literate health care practitioners It took 4 years and many doctors to finally be officially diagnosed, yeah great whoopie. It's too late. She's dying because of a tick bite.

Even in states were Lyme Disease is more common it is often misdiagnosed. It is a terrible disease. Sorry to hear about your sister. I know a man here who had it and it took almost 3 years before they figured out what was going on. He has recovered but it was a long, hard battle.
