I'm not sure if everyone is talking specifically of the brand or just the molasses in a bottle that I think of when talking Lucas. I understand they do make differing wt. oils.
My experience is with the thick stuff. I run an OPS bypass and tried a gallon of Lucas once in my C9 and the Polaris labs oil analysis showed iron jumped to a minor level, upto 39 ppm. I took it out and now iron consistently stays below 15 ppm. 973,000 mi.s and never been into, runs like a sewing machine except when the injectors tips start coking up, pull 'em every 100,000 or so, scrape 'em clean and away we go. Oh, and switched from Delvac synth to Dello synth about 200,000 mi.s ago and injector tips will go little longer before needing cleaning.
