Or should I say NEVER LET ME DOWN YOU FREAK'N GENERATOR!!!

Oh nooooo! Never mind its hotter than hell here in Memphis,TN today. Onan closed until the morning. What to do in this dilemma?

Go to Elvis's RV park! Yep we are parked on Jail House RD next to the pool at Graceland RV Park across the street from Elvis's crib. His jets are parked next to the park. Screw get'n the genset fixed in the morning. We might just have to go visit Elvis instead.

As for the genset, all I can say is I want you [to work], I need you [to not quit running], I love you [ when you power my a/c and oven].

I'd be willing to bet that your Onan hasn't been nearly the PITA my POS Rigmaster has been. And, during this 3 weeks I've spent in hundred degree weather? Forget about it. What a steaming pile of dung...

What size onan? I have the 7.5 and have found in hot weather it uses a bit more water than normal and will shut down when it gets down in the tank. Another issue was right after having it serviced it shut down under heavy load, darn tech kinked the fuel line at the filter. If you have the 5.0 most common is the brushes failing, symptom fires up and shuts right down. I have also seen that be the control switch on the genset itself.

Going to see Elvis is well worth the trip. Been there and would do it again given the time. BTW Corkey's BBQ is worth a stop too as a good way to finish off a good day.
Good luck with your onan, I would be lost without mine.

7.5 (7500watt) HDKAT unit. Placed in service April, 2006 As of yesterday, 16,800 trouble free hours, plus still doesn't burn a drop of oil.

Problem that developed yesterday is a burned wire shorting to the block that can't be accessed without dropping the unit. Going to have Onan put new wire harness, etc on Wednesday in Little Rock.

Yahoooo! Another night at Graceland RV Resort.
