Looking for carrier ideas

I am looking for a pretty specific driving opportunity and was hoping someone here might have some carrier suggestions. I currently use a minivan delivering for ProEx Logistics LLC out of Akron. I would like to continue using this vehicle for a few more months and then move up to a cargo van. I do not have a CDL with HazMat, but I am willing to obtain it for the right opportunity. If you were to draw straight lines from Pittsburgh, to Cleveland, to Columbus, and back to Pittsburgh you would have a triangle that I live directly in the center of. What I am hoping to find is a carrier that can run me in this general region and I can be home most nights. I realize this is more courier type work than expedited, but I am really hoping for some carrier suggestions. I have tried newspapers and craigslist.com but only found very few leads. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help.

I was going to suggest air freight hotshot work, but your location puts you a ways out from a major airport. Does ProEx Logistics lease on cargo vans?

I was gonna suggest a paper route, but I'd be accused of being snarky.

Maybe find a local company or two that need local work done. Where one may not need a driver, a few hours here, a day there, and you may be able to put something together.

I already tried the paper route, it only pays $.08 per paper per day. The way ProEx works is we get our deliveries around 1:30 pm and have to have them delivered by 5 pm. It pays really good, but is really only setup as a part time gig. Akron/Canton Regional Airport is fairly close, I may have to look into the air freight hotshot thing. Thanks for the responses so far.

How about a combination of the paper route with your current job? I delivered papers for awhile and I got about .08 per paper from the company but the weekly tips, especially holiday tips boost that number.

You might want to look at medical delivery companies in your area.??

A great medical delivery company is the "parent" company of Prestige Expedite out of Cleveland Ohio. I think if you contact someone at Prestige they might be able to get you over the the proper department where you can inquire about one of their medical delivery routes. I hope that helps you some.
