Looking for a quality, inexpensive fleet tracking option

We have 10 vans in our fleet. I'm trying to find a way to keep track of where everybody is at. I need a program that sends out automated location updates while driver is on a load. MacroPoint can get pricey at $5/trip. I currently use CourierExchange. It's a wonderful idea but it is not reliable at all.

Anybody have any advise?

Thanks in advance!

We're currently on MacroPoint. It's not expensive for small fleets. But negotiate! Nothing is cast in stone except your service contract, apparently. And MacroPoint is used by tons of carriers. It's not $5 a trip for carriers. That's the broker price.

Verizon network fleet. $20 per month per unit ,live maps with updates every 5 minutes. The gps units costs is 200 per piece I think. Plus free road side assistance.
