If that was the only thing drawn and communicated in the cartoon, I agree it would be funny. Especially to the majority here in the Soapbox community or more specifically to the person who originally posted it.
Now, go back and look at it again. Take a look at the obvious sign in the cartoon and what does it say?

That kind of changes the target audience this cartoon was obviously trying to reach, don't ya think?
I did not find it funny. I thought it was stupid and poorly drawn
It's not an example at all, it's called satire, political humor, sarcasm, it is a lampooning of the "hysterical right wing". Which brings me back to my original question. To whom is the author of the cartoon poking fun at?
Well I guess steady eddie should have taken out your quote like you asked him to; the one you deleted asking me, "ya need it spelled out for ya?" along with the cute little sarcastic emoticon. I was simply posing a question. It just seemed strange that that particular cartoon would be perceived as funny to this audience.[/QUOT
I did not find it funny. I thought it was stupid and poorly drawn. How do you know that it lampooning of the "hysterical right wing"? It could be poking fun of the "religious right" or just plain poking fun of an issue the the author knows little about, putting the spotlight on the wrong parts of the issue? It is all what one decides to see in it, as with all humor.
