Seasoned Expediter
I am just lucky I guess. After reading public appoligy and several others today that is how I feel. The company I drive for and who also owns the truck I drive must be some kind of dream from the things I read about owners and companies. My owner presented me with a truck with all the bells and whistles, a large sleeper fully equiped and a pay check every wensday. If it is on the truck by Sunday I get paid the very next Wensday. If something is broke I am told to GET IT FIXED. My owner does not want me to ever get a D.O.T inspection that my truck won't pass. The BOSS even knows me and my wife by our first name and calls us by our name (I am not sure if our truck number is even known).
Sure we sit waiting for a load but even at that we average 3,000 miles per week paid loads. No we are not newbys, we have been doing expedited for the last 13 years. We have worked for the major companies (all but Fed x) over the years. I have felt mistreated by some of them but I have not posted the the mistreatment. After all they probable thought I was mistreating them also. Up till now I have not posted the good things eather but after reading the post I read today I felt that I should.
Landstar Express America and Tri State were very good to us. We owned our own truck back then and drove about 5 years for each of those companies. When we sold our truck we were going to retire,LOL. When we decided to get back into this world we found Tom, been with him every since. Sure there is some things we would rather not have but 90% good is exceptional so the bad just don't seem to count.
I know it is different strokes for different folks but I have a motto given me by my Father years ago that goes "There is so much good in the worst of us and so much bad in the best of us that it little behoves any of us to talk about the rest of us" Even so there are times you just have to tell some one. God Bless to each and all of you out there.
Spelling is not my long suite so please forgive.
