Just curious about something

I am a contractor for EGL and have been for about 4 1/2 years. I love it. Well EGL just got bought by CEVA Logistics formerly TnT. Has anyone reading this ever worked or dealt with them? Do they have contractors? I am kinda in the dark with them and kinda would like to know a little bit about them other than their website. I wish I knew how to get freight on my own so I wouldn't have to worry about stuff like this. I know more headaches I am sure with multitasking but it would be interesting to do. Thanks .

I'm with EGL also (tractor/trailer), from what I've seen and heard the buyout can't hurt.
The station I am domiciled out of is so poorly run I get 75% of my freight from another station. I have spoken to the guys pulling the TNT trailers and they are all contractors. I believe they are run very much like EGL in that they own few assets. Ceva/TNT does not have a local branch in my area, so I don't have any local minds to pick.
I spent 20 years oversea's and TNT was a competitor to DHL. UPS and Fedex were not major players (compared to DHL) in the international package market, they have made inroads since.
