yeah I hada simular thing my brother and I took his 95 5.0 mustang in for a oil change . it was over due a lil and the oil was black they came to us and sudgested a engine flush. My bro asked me and I said '"no don't do it thast a bad thing and on a older engine it breaks :censoredsign: free and can clogup the oil filter quickly" well it came time to pay the bill and it was close to 100$$ !!!!!! we looked at the bill and they had done the flush against our wishes. I told them they better get the manager or the district manager on the phone within 5 min or I'm going to file fraud charges on them. In 5 min I was talkign to the district about it and they agreed to changes the oil again in one to two weeks to make sure the oil filter was okay and oil changes free for a year.
Didn't have to pay for that oilchange either.

one other freind had a QUAKER STATE QUICK LUBE forget to tighten the oil pan drain plug ............. 4 blocks away it locked up they tried to replace the engine with a junkyard one with twice the milage . he was like no your not I want a compareable one or I'll see you in court .......... they found a new engine then tried to charge him for the install!!!!!! he finally got ti taken care of though

I know people that always put some type of identifyable mark on old filters before service . It has paid off several times .

Yep. I blew the engine on a cago van because of Tires Plus. They charged me for oil changes, but because I never allowed them time to do their 30 point inspection to sell me more services, they never did the work.

Some dealers are just as bad, but generally the "express lube" kind of places are the worst for it, Jiffy Lube included.

When I was in high school I had the Wal-Mart in West Memphis forget to put oil back in the truck. Luckily I checked before leaving the praking lot. My famliy and I have been back since with no problem.

Precision tune in Dayton tried to scam me too, twice and both times developed an oil leak, my oil pan bolts both time became loose. Will never go back, they did the old flush routine told them no thhen leaks occur but was at different locations
