The coach is important, but it's tough to blame all the turnovers on him. All the individual pieces of the puzzle are strong. I say keep the team intact and see what happens next year.

The Lions were a pretty impressive team this year and I believe they will be even better next year if they can remain healthy which seemed to hurt them this year. Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush were listed as questionable for almost the entire season with different issues.

All teams deal with injuries especially this year.

Usually it gets a little more spread out over the season and to have their top guys playing through injuries slowed them down a little.

There was is 40 or 50 players out for the year that are important players. I wish Reggie Wayne was week to week.

Wow, I had to dig up my old email to my sister about my Lions predictions. If I just would have stuck to my guns and not get caught up in the hype, I could have saved a lot of heart ache. I was spot on......

"hmmm after looking over the lion's schedule my initial outlook is for
another subpar season even with Bush.

My realistic expectations: 7-9 or 8-8
With a lot of dream help 11-5

Will be interesting to see how it actually turns out."

Xiggi is right almost all the teams dealt with injuries of key players this season which explains a lot of lopsided standings!

Romo reported out for the year. Back injury.
Update: Jerry Jones says they paid 10.5 million for Orten because he is so goid. Knows the system now as well as Romo. R I G H T.

Side note. Bringing in numerous quarterbacks for tryouts today.

Doesn't look like it's done deal yet for Romo, but doesn't sound good for Dallas.

Tony Romo's status is no longer a mystery. Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett announced Friday that Romo underwent back surgery in the morning and will be placed on injured reserve.

Garrett confirmed that Kyle Orton will start at quarterback for the Cowboys in their win-and-in game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.

It seemed like a done deal when they signed Kitna at $53,000 per game.

And Rodgers is in for Green Bay.
