It is sad...

....that we live in a country that is so screwed up that we have people who are supposed to represent us actually representing our enemies.

I find the entire democratic party close to being nothing but bunch of idiots, bar none. Many in the republican party are not far behind and after reading the article following my rant, I am more determined to fight for a change in our representives where I live. To those who live around and feel that Levin, Stabenow, Conyers and Dingle all have the country's best interest in mind, you are part of the problem and totally blind to the entire problem.

The entire democrat party seems to think that they were empowered to do somehting that undermines our security, prevents our troops from doing what is needed and sending a message of hope to the appeasers of the country and the world. They were not sent there to cut from the situation nor were they sent there to do anything about a war that does not impact the country as they think it does.

Truth be told, no one outside the 'activist' crowd and the people (and their families)who are going over there are really impacted and the people would rather see more done to close the borders and secure our world or to make our economy grow than to hear all the cr*p about Iraq from a bunch of people who don't have a clue to begin with.

Don't be fool by the idea that we will lose 10s of thousands of troops before it is over, it won't happen. As much as some want people to see that a majority of the country wants out out, they miss the point that there is no movement by the people to do that and the people are not stupid, just tired.

Now for you dems out there, with you conspricty threoies and your "it's about the oil stupid" position, do you honestly think that Osama and his crowd sit in a cave all day long trying to figure out where to get Ribs from? Come on be smart, they know more of what is going on in Washington than most of the citizens of this country know. They also know more about how our government works and who is who than most kids in our schools.

Well enough ranting, heres the article.

al-Qaida No. 2 Mocks Iraq Pullout Bill

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- A new video of al-Qaida's No. 2 leader released on Saturday mocks President Bush and U.S. legislation requiring the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, saying the bill would rob the group's fighters of the chance to kill more Americans.

Osama bin Laden's deputy Ayman al-Zawahri derided the new U.S.-backed Baghdad security plan, recounting an April 12 suicide bombing in Baghdad's heavily protected Green Zone when an attacker slipped through security and killed a Sunni legislator in the Iraqi parliament's cafeteria. An al-Qaida-led amalgam of Sunni insurgents in Iraq claimed responsibility.

"And lest Bush worry, I congratulate him on the success of his security plan, and I invite him on the occasion for a glass of juice, but in the cafeteria of the Iraqi parliament in the middle of the Green Zone," al-Zawahri said.

The video was obtained Saturday by U.S.-based monitoring groups who released a transcript to media.

Al-Zawahri, shown seated before a bookshelf in a white robe and turban, addresses legislation pushed by Democratic leaders, and vetoed by Bush, that would have required the first U.S. troops in Iraq to be withdrawn by Oct. 1 with a goal of a complete pullout six months later.

"This bill will deprive us of the opportunity to destroy the American forces which we have caught in a historic trap," al-Zawahri said, according to a transcript released by the monitoring group SITE. The bill is evidence of American "failure and frustration," he added.

"We ask Allah that they (U.S. troops) only get out of it after losing 200,000 to 300,000 killed, in order that we give the spillers of blood in Washington and Europe an unforgettable lesson," he said.

He made no mention of Bush vetoing the bill on Thursday - an indication the video may have been made beforehand.

Al-Zawahri encouraged minorities around the world to join the holy war, or jihad.

"Al-Qaida is not merely for the benefit of Muslims," he said. "That's why I want blacks in America, people of color, American Indians, Hispanics, and all the weak and oppressed in North and South America, in Africa and Asia, and all over the world."

Al-Zawahri claimed al-Qaida fighters in Iraq were "nearing closer to victory over their enemy, despite this sectarian fighting" that has convulsed the country.

He discussed other topics as well in the 67-minute video, including fighting in Afghanistan, Chechnya, Algeria, and Somalia. He made references to Saudi Arabia, Egyptian constitutional changes meant to cement the government's hold on power, and the Pentagon's release of the confessions of al-Qaida No. 3, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed - the alleged Sept. 11 mastermind who was captured in Pakistan in March 2003.

Saturday's video was the fifth message - including posted video and audio tapes - by al-Zawahri this year. Osama bin Laden has not surfaced in any communications since mid-2006.

It's sad those IED's have to go off around our troops instead of on the floor of the House where they could do a tremendous amount of good or at the very least not make casualties of useful federal payroll people.

Greg you are right about your Reps from your state,I hate to admit that I live in Southwest Pa. and I have to watch Murtha relected,it's a ##### shame. The Unions in Mi. and Pa. follow in lockstep with these idots that constantly promise what they will do for them, the unions have outlived there usefullness. What these people that vote Democratic don't understand is this is not the Democratic Party anymore. All they want to do is complain about how much profit that Wal-Mart and oil companies make, but they complain when there companies are losing money? When GM,Ford and Chrysler where making big profits I didn't hear them ( BMW ) :censoredsign: moaning and Whining!I worked at Ford for 25 years,I know what was going on,workers leaving after 2 or three hours and getting paid eight.Sweeping floors because they had a chipped nail,or it was that time of the month. There is so much overhead at these Companys it's not funny, you won't see that at Toyota...Hmmm now Toyota is outselling GM and Ford and Daimler, these companies and the UAW saw Toyota coming for over 25 years and they did nothing, the Union wouldn't relax work rules so they have know one to blame but themselves.Back to the reason of this post these Left Wing Socialists are going to get us Killed,by trying to run this War instead of letting our Commander in Chief..President George Bush. Im a Conserative get over it!
