Is it time for civil disobedience?

One can only hope!! I think we have seen this same message said here in this forum by one member particular, and by others from time to time...personally i like filing taxes and putting a note in the return that while you owe them according to the way the IRS figures such things, because of your current economic situation you are not able to pay them, so you will "owe' it to them, rather then write a bad check.....

Is it time for civil disobedience?

Is it time for civil disobedience?

For the first time in my memory, and in all likelihood in the entire history of the Republic, citizens in the mainstream of America--the heartland--are talking seriously of 'civil disobedience.'
Such a thing is usually anathema to the hard-working, Patriotic taxpayers who keep the nation afloat. We associate the concept with Leftists, the draft-dodgers of the Viet Nam era, and pacifists who resent any military action whatsoever.
This time, however, the growing movement to consider civil disobedience as a reasonable option is confined primarily to middle America--the people in the center and right-of-center, along with conservatives and libertarians--who are quite distressed about the course of the nation and who thus no longer wish to fund it.

From the time Barack Obama and the current Congressional leadership set the nation on a decidedly Leftist course, concerned citizens have let their opposition be heard. First, a groundswell of protest against the out-of-control tax-and-spend measures of Obama & co. culminated in the Tea Party movement which swept the nation.

Then, citizens who have never attended a townhall meeting in their lives, much less raise a voice of protest, inundated the various townhall meetings across the country that were conducted by Congressmen who were home for the August recess. And they got an earful.
But none of it seemed to matter. They returned to Washington only to continue on the very same path that led to the angry outbursts at their townhall meetings.

And then there was the march on Washington on September 12, the massive citizen protest against the policies of the current government. Even that failed to gain the attention of the self-centered puppet kings and queens of Congress who obviously serve the interests of someone or something other than the citizens of the Republic.

The bottom line? Our elected representatives are not listening to us. In fact, they couldn't care less.

And the ultimate proof of this is what? Our illustrious Senate Finance Committee approved the ObamaCare bill that will place an unacceptable financial burden on citizens and employers who offer excellent private health insurance, in an attempt to force them off of these plans and onto the government plan.
Could there possibly be any better proof that Congress is ignoring the ire of the citizens?

Obviously, it is time for contingency plans.

Contrary to the notion of some, this contingency plan involves no violent uprising and shooting sprees. No one from the Feds has initiated such a violent encounter with the citizens, and thus, being the peaceful people that we are, we will initiate no violence whatsoever. No armed resistance will ensue unless and until the first shots are fired by federal agents who target fellow Americans for merely expressing their disdain for the current government.

The contingency plan of which I speak is the notion of civil disobedience...a very peaceful, reasoned protest against policies that the citizens in the heartland can no longer in good conscience support.

And what, exactly, is the best way to cripple Obama and his 'shadow government' of Marxist czars and advisers, along with their enablers in Congress? Hit 'em in the pocketbook. Refuse to give them the money to do what they wish to do.
Interestingly, just yesterday I discovered a clip that was placed on YouTube from Fox News (from back in May) featuring Craig T. Nelson, who was interviewed by Glenn Beck. Nelson advocated for the refusal to pay taxes as a means of forcing government responsibility.

To be sure, such a course of action comes with enormous personal risk. I do not 'recommend' that anyone do anything against the law or that would place their lives, jobs, families, and personal assets in jeopardy.
But has the time arrived for Patriots to be willing to risk everything, life, limb, and property, in order to demand liberty, just as our Founders were willing to do?
Back in March of this year, I wrote on article on this very subject that would be worth a second reading. It is entitled, Civil disobedience in the era of Obama . I would strongly suggest that you give it careful consideration. But remember these are not recommendations or advice. These are concepts to consider and questions to be raised.
The rage of the citizenry is getting ready to erupt, and it is vitally important that we have a reasonable course of action in place in which to funnel the enormous energy that will come from that rage.

Start with a good, old fashioned TAX REVOLT!!!! It IS time for us to take back our RIGHTFUL control of our government. I would be willing to bet that MOST people are too CHICKEN to do ANYTHING, Barry and Co. are COUNTING on that. Those bums in Washington have been riding that for years. Cowards lose.
