Internet Truckstop® Load Board - Find Freight Fast! Info only.
You may already use this site, if you have your own authority and MC number and so on. In this site ,there is a download called " Rate Mate". It is a tool to see what the freight lanes are paying vs what the brokers are paying. My son uses this tool to get more bucks per mile. It makes him more money in his refer truck. It cost about 35 bucks a month for the tool.

Ex: If the a broker list a load from Va to Memphis tn and the broker list it at 1400 bucks, the Rate Mate site may show it as paying 1800 bucks for 800 mile run in that area.

You can use that web site to raise your income by calling the broker and bargaining . My son was getting 2 bucks a mile avg, now he averages 3 and sometimes 4 dollars a mile and never gets over 800 miles from the house and is usually back by the weekend if he wants to. Yes he pulls a refer, but dry van loads are also on the site. In his opinion, the Rate Mate tool is making him more money and he now knows what the Lanes are paying. Note: gives you arguing power with the brokers and you don't have to take what they are listing,,its a tool to help you from flying blind on the road and more bucks in your pocket.................well that's what my son is doing.

I've found most of these sites are geared for tt loads and are a waste of my time and money
Just my decreasing value .02 cents worth!

Still, for those who drive tractor-trailers and straight trucks, sites like these can be quite valuable.

There are specialty runs on internet truck-stop. You can see on one of their programs how many trucks are coming into a state and how many are leaving said state. You can also read what the broker is paying on the average and what the rate is being paid to the truck. You can deal with the broker for a higher rate. With these boards you are not flying blind like in expediting where you do not really know the range the lanes are paying, you are only guessing. You could be leaving a buck a mile on the table when you could have gotten it. Again there are specialty loads there to.

You can pick the towns you want to leave from and the town you want to go to. It will show the loads from point A to point B for that day and tell you what loads are going back to point A.

You see now how you have tons of info from any city in the USA going out and back at your command. You know the pay rates now, no guess work... well it is a thought...all tools are there to help you.....

I bet someone in here is using this in their big rig or straight truck and just does not say anything. 2 bucks a mile is low, really low...........in big rigs and straight trucks..but hey, check it out.

Good call skyraider that's what I've been saying all along. Now the rest of you know what I've been saying about rates and many here thought I was crazy. Glad you brought it out all the way and published it thanks.

Can you be right on the rates and still be a little crazy ? :)

If you have your own authority and use that site and get on the " Rate Mate: soft ware, you will see a whole different world of what lanes are paying. 2 dollars a mile will be a thing of the past for you big rig drivers and possibility straight trucks. 3 dollars a mile will most likely be the norm. You can't fly blind out there anymore, you have price radar I call it, you got to be able to see what the rates truly are, you get to negotiate/participate, not someone just telling you what its gonna be.

Brokers will not be able to dupe you into a load,,you got the power to see what the average broker is paying, what the trucks are getting per mile , and what the overall freight lane is paying...............its all in there....

It would be nice if vanners had this............just saying, but I dont think that world has this yet.
