Does anyone know anything about them or have any dealings with them, any website I can look them up on?

Hi there. I know that members Geo and DannyD are contracted w/ them. Might look them up or do a search within the forums for EGL, as well as the archives.

I've worked for em for about a year. All in all I'd say they're a good company. I wouldn't get a Sprinter to work for em though.

Geo can give ya some good information on em. One heads up though. He's doing quite a bit better than most people at EGL. My guess is he's done about 1.5 times as well as anyone in the Detroit office. His numbers are accurate for him & he's worth every penny he makes. Don't count on doing as well though.

I'm not sure where you're out of or what ya drive, but if you drive a cargo van my guess would be you'll make 30-50K/year. Ya get to stay local & ya can take longer out of state runs if ya so desire. This to me is a pretty good situation as long as ya don't have a $1000 van/insurance payment. If ya get a 2003-2004 vehicle & the payments are lower ya can make decent money & be home every night.

Also, if ya sign on w/ em watch your checks. I don't think anyone is out to get me, but I took 2 runs from Alpena (about $250 each), 1 from Oscoda ($190 or so), 1 from Owasso, St Clair, Lapeer, & a few other scattered runs. All these went down to Detroit Metro & I had a few from Detroit Metro to various places.

My paycheck was $7 one week & $250 the next. Sum'tin was wrong. Vedy Vedy wrong. =) I didn't know what the exact amount of my check should have been but I had a pretty good idea & I felt the two weeks combined should have been in the $1200 range or so. Again, I don't think they're crooks or anything of the sort, but mistakes can be made so monitor your checks.

I'm pretty confident it'll get taken care of. With some companies I'd be thinking the worst. W/ EGL when the $7 check came I thought maybe they'd put it on the next weeks check cuz I don't always turn in my paperwork right away & then when the $250 came (yesterday) I put it on the back burner cuz I wanted to watch the college football games. So I do feel it'll be worked out. This is where track record comes in. They've been good in the past & I don't see any reason to see where that'll change. Just make sure to keep a record of everything you've taken & don't rely on just their recordkeeping.

Like any company, we have busy times & slow times. All in all I'd say a good company to work for as long as you're not in a van w/ a high payment.

Good luck to ya,
Danny
