Reading about Cheri's experience with a roly-poly blocking fuel island traffic while backing into a space five spaces wide, I got to thinking about something that happened the other night.
Taking off from a rest area, I came to a stop behind two trucks. The front one looked like his hood was open. I got on the horn to Averitt and asked what the hold up was. "He's checking his oil or something." In the middle of the get-out-of-dodge lane? Someone pulled out of a parking spot, so I used that to get around. Just then he started moving. I got on the radio and said, "Some drivers are just inconsiderate!"
"What are you talkin bout, driver?"
"Blocking the exit to the rest area." I replied.
"Well... I had to take a leak, and check my oil. Since it was thirsty, I added some. Whataya want me to do?"
"DO THAT $*@! AT A &%#@in FUEL ISLAND!!!" DUH!!!!!
How much you wanna bet his little check engine/add oil light came on? At least he could've pulled to the end of the ramp to do his business. And of course, when his truck pulled out, I saw the classic Volvo with SWIFT on the door. Figures! ROOKIE!
