Idle with no air line on compressor?

I need a new house from my compressor to my air tanks, problem is I can't get it till International opens tomorrow. He already has the hose off, and it was a pain.
It's hot.
Can I idle for a/c, whole basically having the air compressor just shoot the air straight out into the open air? Out will that cause damage?

Something I just thought about...don't these compressors have some kind of relief valve, or will they stop trying to push air once they meet a certain psi? Currently the compressor will just keep pumping, but is that any different than normal?

Unless you can be assured the fan is not air acuated, or can lock it into manual "on" .. you will blow that a/c to pieces with head pressure ...

As for bypassing .... just cap it ...

Do you have an air dryer?

Who is he?

There is a governor which unloads the compressor.

You may not have a good option now if there is no air line there at all. If there was, you could just cut it and double it over itself and tape it.

Me? Time for a room. Priceline and I have a good relationship. I'm in a $89/night room in Chicago this weekend. I bid $35/night and got it.

No air drier, don't know about the ac question, It was the house that the air come threw to full the air tanks, and now you guys have me worried.
