How long do shocks last?

Just have a quick question. I have a 1999 FL70. It has air ride suspension and cab. It has the small extended cab. I have 245,000 miles on it and it kind of looks like it might have the orginal shocks. How long do they last? I am not getting any uneven tire wear. Just wondered if new shocks would give me a little better ride. If so what kind is best to use? I do trade shows across the US but only drive 7 months of the year for a total of around 50,000 miles. Thanks alot for all the help you all have given me. Have a good Turkey Day Everyone!!!

Wow, you got your moneys worth out of those! Seriously, the shocks on your truck are usually replaced every 100,000 to 150,000 miles. You will be amazed at the difference in the way your truck handles and takes bumps! Don't scrimp on cheap shocks, buy the best you can afford. Everyone has there own personal preference, and mine is gas filles Monroe shock absorbers. Good luck and enjoy what will feel like a new truck for just a couple hundred bucks. Drive Safe and be profitable!

Once a year. For the folks who have shocks on their sleeper, I would change those as well. Changing all of them is very inexpensive for what you get in return.
