I have a question. If I work 7 days a week, 8 hours a day, do I ever need the 34 hour restart? I work 40 hours a week and drive on the weekends.

I've read you can do 8.75 hours a day, and constantly run on recap.

A driver who works 8 hours per day, 7 days per week, would never need to use the restart provision because he/she would never reach the 60- or 70-hour limit.

You do have to log the 1st job as "on duty" tho.

Thank you for the information. If I have to work longer than 8 hrs a couple days a week I'm looking into the rules for recap. As long as I stay under 70 hrs in 8 days everyday I work will be the eighth day and the ninth's day hrs will drop off?

Every new day will drop off the oldest day in the cycle.

I was under the impression you had to do a mandatory day off after 8 days straight am I wrong? I never have 8 days straight anyways especially lately!

Nope. You can run indefinitely, as long as you stay under a certain hours per day.
