Hey Tallcal, can you make sense out of this?

The leftist anti-American media has pointed out that there has been over 3000 active duty deaths in Iraq (which by the way these deaths were during toppling a government and giving freedom to millions in a record time than any other time in history) but something has been pointed out last year about this time that Clinton has had more peace time active duty deaths (4302) on his watch than Bush had in Iraq during a war.

I am wondering about why is there 4302 active duty deaths on Clinton’s watch when we were not at war with anyone?

Can you explain this tallcal?

OH yea, because this includes 1980, the last year for your hero Carter, there were under his watch 2,392 active duty deaths, amazing!

The source by the way is Defense Manpower Data Center Statistical Information Analysis Division.

I am just glad there is a lot of time between here and the 08 election. Plenty of time for the Dems to put their foot in their mouths followed by stepping in a couple piles of doo doo.

I don't really know what the point of your exercize is.If you say these facts are the facts, then I don't have the time to research,or even dispute with facts. If it is to confirm the left wing press "blaw blaw blaw",I really don't have time for it.
Looks like Tony has had enough:SEE YA.Perhaps Sinigal can be bribed to come join the "coalition of our partners".Or,it's just that left wing press making s*** up again.Ever heard the word isolationist?Usually, nation builders end up alone.

And empire builders end up alone and despised.
Since we all know that a nation divided cannot stand, why do we insist on dividing everything into Republican vs Democrat, right wing vs left, etc?
What if we try to focus on areas of agreement, rather than dis, and possible solutions to our current problems, rather than blame?
BTW, I have no solutions to offer, I'm just proposing it for those who do.

Hi

I do have a suggestion for the war in Iraq.Enlist the Kurds.Move all foriegn troops out to the borders.Leave the Green Zone.Stop having US soldiers protect the constuction along the Tigris River. If the insurgents kill the power grid and cut off the water lets not rush right in and try to fix it.

The insurgents are drawn to US soldiers so move the soldiers out of populated areas and get them out into the open where it easier for our soldiers to fight. Why are we fighting the war the way the insurgents want.

If the insurgents don't come out of the cities to fight then let them set up a base in Bagdad and then send in spies, figure out who the bad guys are then reinvade Bagdad and kill them.

As long as the borders are left open the insurgents are going to keep coming in and so will their supplies. If they know these IED's are coming from IRAN then close the border and cut off the supply line.

Australia almost won the Vietnam war, they missed the supply line by one tunnel. That would of changed the out come completely.I think the same holds true for Iraq.

Bryan,
Good idea but the Kurds will not fight or even go outside of their paridise.

See if we really want to see success in Iraq and see what we are really fighting for, go to the area that the Kurds occupy. This is a success story that is ignored completely.

Hi

The Kurds will fight. They joined forces with the Iranians to fight against their own country. They want to keep their land and their way of life so I think they will fight. They also know who is who and what is what when it comes to Iran. They definatly know the region along the border.

Yes it is a success story because they let it be one. They were gassed by Saddam because they stuck up for themselves unlike the :censoredsign:e and Sunni's.I was watching an interveiw with some Baghdad kids who said they liked it better when Saddam was in power.I don't think Kurdish kids would feel the same way.

Lost Vietnam because the Aussies missed one tunnel?? HUH?
I think the Turks and the Kurds should be given the whole shebang and we'll call it Turdistan.
Seriously, the die hard libs who have ALL the answers as to what's wrong over there still can't can't pull it out and do one thing-
Tell us WHAT they would do if THEY were in charge.
You spend all the energy telling us what's wrong with GW but your Al Gore shoe polishing rearend still can't tell us what you would do to fix it. Don't feel bad, neither can any of your Pelosi-Feinstein-Clinton tree burning hypocrites.

I had heard on the radio the other day, Actually it was on Rollye James show where she had stated that more Americans were killed here in the U.S. by illegal aliens (traffic fatalities) then in the Iraq war. 12 a day average, 4380 a year. But that doesn't make the news.

All I know is this: As of February 1, 2007 The U.S. has spent 505 billion (yes that is billion)dollars on the war in Iraq. I am not even going to comment on whether or not there has been any accountability whatsoever about where it has been spent. We have been scolded over and over by the current regime that this is about Freedom and Security here at home. Oh, is that so??? Well I wonder how much security could have been provided here at home for that same 505 billion dollars. That is of course if protecting our homeland is what this is all about. They talk about the terrorists following us back home if we leave. HA! that is a good one. Guess what? they're already here!!!! The fact of the matter is that there are at least two huge factions of Hammas in this country today, one in Kansas City and the other in Dallas. These are just the ones I know of...there are most likely even more. They have been planning their Jihad and stockpiling weapons since at least 1988 which is when I first became aware of them via several PBS specials about them. (No, I don't listen to those nut jobs Art Bell or George Noury.) Why aren't we focusing on these groups? If there were any oil to seize in Kansas or Texas I'll bet we'd be there right now....
