Simpler, cheaper if you go with a tractor and short trailer.
12-20-34=66
I'd go 14-34-20 or 16-34-20.

I would think 16 20 34 would work as long as it's a day cab. Moving a fifth wheel forward would be easier than the trailer tandems.

Then that requires a class a though.

His operation would dictate whether I'd want a multi axle straight or TT.
The straight would be okay dock to dock.
A lot of stress, bad tire wear if doing multiple stops with the four axle set-up.

I'm not sure a class B would cover a four axle straight.
On a trailer tandem you get 40 (20x2) if you have 10 feet or more between axles.
A neighbor in Michigan had a slight "Canadian Spread" on his Volvo tractor that gave him 36 or more on his tandem.
