We are home and I was outside visiting with a neighbor when I felt something wet hit my head. Sure enough, it was bird poop! The neighbors told me that means I will have good luck for a year!

Sounds like "crap" to me, but what the heck? It's about darn time I have some good luck!

People say it's good luck in order to bolster the spirits of humiliation of being crapped on by a bird. And because they're out of shampoo.

Some people don't know how to react when something embarrassing happens to someone else, I find it easier to laugh than come up with something to comfort them.

Getting pooped on, does, in no way sound like good luck to me.
