Good All Around Repair Shop in S.E. Wisconsin

Hey Gang:

I am looking for a good repair shop in southeast Wisconsin or northeast Illinois. I usually do all my own work, but with adding more trucks, I do not have the time to devote to proper maintenance. We run International 4300 & 4400 with the DT466e engine and 6 & 7 speed manual transmissions. Please let me know which shops do great work and are reasonable in price. The local International dealer is fine, but is expensive at $83.00/hour labor and dealer parts pricing. Thanks in advance.

Not sure on current prices, but have had excellent service at Kenosha Peterbuilt. They are on 94 about a half hour north of the border on the west side of 94. We had emergency service done on a tractor and had great service and the price was reasonable. While a dealer, I can't remember their exact hourly rate.

Thanks for the information. I have had the opposite experience there. We brought in our truck there about 2 years ago and got ripped off big time: Changed Alternator and Batteries for $996. Then foolishly we had a fuel filter plugged on the road about three miles from Peterbilt of Wadsworth, IL and the service call and repair (fuel filter and a few ounces of diesel fuel) was $453. Shame on me I guess.

I should have mentioned, this was about a year ago. Based on your experience I think some things might have changed.
$996.00 for a alternator and some batteries sounds on the high side unless they did other work?
