Here is somthing that realy made me mad.
Friday I was conducting A thourough Inspection on the Truck and Trailer well I found I needed to add some Hub oil to the FWD Tandoms Hub Oilers on the TRL. Well it ran right through. Well needless to say Im at a TA in Baltimore MD (JESSUP)so I took it too the shop as I could tell the Inner Wheel Seals were blown on Both. Its funney how when the Trl was over in OHIO at The Carrier In Richfield that they found that the same Seals were in need of replacement and supposedly Replaced them and Did the Inspection on the TRL.
Ya ok I By that. Wrong!!!! When BBG brought the Trailer to me while I was in Bordentown getting the Trucks King pins done well all that was suppose to have been fixed then in OHIO. HA HA HA
Wrong!!! NOT I don't think so!!! Some body didnt know what they were doen if they did. Well let me tell ya Im mad and so mad I could wip somebody real good.
Here is why, The TA mechanic took off the first Hub and wheel in front of me well let me tell ya guess what was backing off??? You guessed it the Spindle nut!!! The Pins had been removed (Not there) Hmm interesting I asked well what they do Forget to put them in, Well Of Course this type of nut is not resuable as once u pop the pins U throw the spindle nut away. So he the Mechanic said. (Note read real close now when You take them off the Nuts area not reusable on the type that was on the trailer so they would have to be replaced with a newer type, a mechanic that does seals all the time would know this so I was told) Thats what the TA Mechanic said. When he did his write up on the bill he put it in the comments of what was found.
HMMM Well I say to my Self Im glad I got an angel with me. Well any case he does the other side and finds the same thing no Pins and it too had been punched out and the Spindle nut was backing off. Well U all know what that means dont ya that means the stupid wheels could have come off the Trailer.
Reality check. I got an angel on my shoulder. Now mind ya
what I think realy happend in the replacement of the wheel seals on the trailer.
Well lets say must of been some shade tree mechanic or
as we said back home (NAVAHOE JOE MECHANICO WORKS AT THE RESERVATION TEXACO) did the Job to be polite.
The above would be covering Williams Carrier who I was told did the Wheel Seal JOB. But then again Ya know hey I should have figured as much as when the BBG brought the Trailer to me you couldnt test the inside tire airpressure as the wheel where spun wrong so I had to purchase a smaller tire tester to check the air pressure on the inside tires on the FWD Tandoms. So how unprofessional was that.
Hey talk to the hand they are the Pros not me.
One last thing how do I know they did the job well I was told by TOM himself when I was in Ohio pulling a Dry Box that I couldnt come get the Trailer as one he had more test to do on it the Reefer unite and 2 that the wheel seals were leaking and had to be replaced. ya right. Needless to say I was at the Crapy Pilot right above Richfield Ohio Williams Carrier.
In any case who ever did the Job was a real Knuckle Head
but some one did spin the wheels which leads to tell me some body did them (The Seals) but didnt know what they were doing.
Wouldnt that make U mad too, But then again I dont own it but its my CDL on the LINE.
I just waiting for BBG to tell me one more time that Im purposely finding things. Hey Just doen my job checking and checking do ya blame me.
Like I said its my CDL on the line.
I can here the first words outa his mouth if somthing were to happen ( I didnt do the Pre-Trip I wasnt driving it, I didnt say it was good to go) What a charlie out.
Well wont have to worry when its parked in his Drive way.
Now isnt that mad enough YUPPER SURE IS.
YA CANT Blame me neither.
