Hey gang,
I'm going to sign on with an O/O that pays 60/40 split with me receiving 60%. I will have to purchance my own fuel though and would like to benefit from the monthly cost of fuel. I've checked the chase card out and it looks good, any other to consider ? I know these rates change faster then fuel prices, Thats why I'm looking for a updated post.

Thanks R

Citi Bank will give you a Master card that gives 5% back on fuel,3% back on supermarkets etc,1% back on everything else. There is a $300 yearly limit on the rebate so just get yourself 2-3 cards and when you max one out for rebates start using the next one. 5% on fuel is a decent rebate.

Wilco Hess has their own Visa that gives you 10% rebate on fuel the first 90 days and 5% rebate from then on.

Conoco has a Mastercard that gives you 3% rebate on fuel. Some of the J's have Conoco signs out front. Those would get the 3% rebate. You have to keep a list though to be sure you get it at the end of the month, otherwise it's 1% rebate like all other purchases.

There is no limit on either of those cards.

Is the Wilco Hess good anywhere, or just at their locations? I would like to recommend this to our teams

He said the Wilco Hess is a Visa so it should be good anywhere like any other Visa . One thing to take note of is using a credit card Oyou pay the cregit card price . Fleet One cards are debit cards and get the cash price .

I believe the W-H card only gets the 10/5% discount at their own locations and elsewhere gets a 1% discount. The various credit cards are not as good as cash unless you are using them at the issuer location. They are better than the cash discount when you are at the right place. Cash discount is usually 4 cents per gallon. With the Conoco card at a J if the fuel is $1.34 per gallon you are ahead with the card although not by enough to matter. At $2.999 the card 3% discount saves you 9 cents per gallon vs 4 cents for cash. At a W-H at $2.999 you save 15 cents per gallon and if it's during the first 90 days you save 30 cents per gallon. For P2 and LEA drivers you can save more than 15 cents per gallon at some of the T/A locations by using the Comdata card and getting the wholesale cost plus pricing. Other carriers may have the same setup with T/A but those are the only two I know about.
