raynchk,

I agree with your disagreement and info. I too see what you are saying but I don't agree with that Harvard prof. I would say in that Larry Allison said it best about degrees and the corporate world. By the way, the corporation serves the investor.

Secrecy? Every administration has done the same thing except Nixon got caught.

I am trying to do two things here - get people to think and to get them active in politics. The latter is another thread I been thinking about posting and after reading an article in Landline, I feel activity is lacking in this industry so unbelievably that the crying is getting sickening.

For the record I don't like a lot things with this administration than I did with the Clinton administration, but to me there is more of an issue with what the present administration's actions openly been on key issues other than the 'war', energy supplies and other things that don't matter in comparison. These things are so d*mn are important and so much being ignored by the press, by the left and by the "hate Bush at any cost" crowd that the people are in the dark. Makes no sense why the press can report secrets on one hand and not reporting the real problems. The rightwing hate radio (except Rush) has done more to report things than all the other media outlets have.

Being very serious I think if one group would actually want to impeach the President and VP, there is only one issue that is festering below the surface where there can be a real case legally made that they have not defended the constitution or the country - the ongoing invasion on the Texas border. This has gotten so serious that we have real sovereignty issues that are being threaten there. I can say that the country has no clue that once we lose the border, we lose the country.

I would say READ my signature, think about it.

Greg:
The way I see it. One president got blown in the white house.
One president has blown the capital revenue of this country in the white house. I am not sure which one cost us the most. Out morality or our capital. Wait a minute now I am sure. We are the largest debtor to China and Japan and a near balanced budget when he took over. What a conservative bunch these guys turned out to be. And remember the abortion issue he ran on. A republican majority in the house and the senate and a republican president and I have heard nothing about getting this ugly thing handled since he has been in office. There I go getting off the subject at hand. I guess I was oiled up so I slipped right into it.

Well first thing I try to tell people is with a two party system there needs to be balance, we lost that balance when the repubs stepped away from their base and we ended up with Bush. Balance is the key but with the present congress, there is still no real balance and they are willing to sell out the country as fast as Bush.

Outside of that we never approached a balanced budget let along reaching it, that was a complete fallacy. we approached parity with the budget based on the projections of the OMB that was depending on the further growth in the tech sector. Bush has been handed a positive projections but there was something called 9.11 that really caused a bunch of problems. Not defending Bush, really, but there are very few places that one can learn how the federal system really works and not many have gone through any courses to learn it, so there is a lot of screwing with numbers in the press and on both sides of the isle.

As for Japan and China, I agree with what you are saying but they are starting to use dollars to buy things here; companies, land and communications. I think we need to raise interest rates to cause a shift from a sell off to investing. It may not make sense but our national debt is not explained really well in the press or in any other place for that matter.

All I know about this oil mess is my Grandmaw's brother owns 2 oil wells in Oklahoma and he told me US drillers are limited by the government on how many barrels they can pump per day. Plus he told me when he figured up the cost on everything between crude and diesel there is 23 dollars per barrel missing somewhere. I understand the oil companies are the business of making money and a profit, but I don't think they should be allowed to make such a large profit. As far as the oil spectulators go.... get someone with some stones who doesn't get scared everytime some third world arab leader farts sideways and raise the price for no reason.

To bad the goverment can stop us from pumping our own oil here then. Guess we all get "OILED" Studies show we have oil under US that can supply US for hundreds of years according to several TVs docs if that is true my only reason is our goverment is afraid to cut the oil barrens off in mid east, must be afraid of what they might do to our economy with all their money.
