Fuel price in Kentucky/Ohio

I notice now that Ohio's price is lower then Ky....2.49 in Walton and 2.46 in Beaverdams....how things change..I remember when I run on empty to make the Ky border....

Doesn't Ky have a yearly increase built in on July 1st at the cost of living?

It may be like the Illinois/Missouri comparison*. Most of the time the MO prices are $0.10 or more cheaper per gallon but on occasion MO (St Louis) temporarily jacks up the prices over those in IL.

As for running on empty to the border, the only time I have run out of gas was at the 0.8 mile marker on I-270 at Chain of Rocks Bridge heading west back into MO from IL. Lucky for me I did not make it to the bridge and then stop, I guess.

empty was abit of exagerration..*L* but I like to plan my fuel stops to get the shower credits....and line up what states I'll be passing thru...I don't have to worry about IFTA so it is pump price for me....

what i saw recently is that when you cross the ind/ky border the fuel is cheaper in henderson ky than other places in ky by a dime or 20 cents.

in ga the price also seems cheaper closer to the border both coming out of fla and going into ky.

If you are in a 26k or lower gvw then prices in IN/KY are your friend. If you are subject to IFTA those are generally the last places you want to fill up.
