Can someone point me in the right direction on where to get freight. We have our own authority, and are looking for more opportunities. I know no one wants to give up there bread and butter, I don't expect you to. We are just an honest carrier with good references looking for new business relationships. Please PM me. Thanks.

Forum rules probably prevent links to sources but it's hard to find decent rates with so many cut throat illegals out there . People don't realize legitimate carriers need a reasonable rate . I've read in several different forums about shippers that chose Uship for low rates and had their freight damaged or end up missing . To succeed with your own authority you need to be good at sales and get out and establish some regular accounts . If you show a professional attitude and clean , well maintained equipment you greatly improve your chances of success .

I would have thought you would have known where to get loads, would have established some connections, had some of your own direct shippers prior to getting your own authority.

Be that as it may, drop me a line at [email protected] and I will give you a few contacts that may help in your situation.

Getting your own authority shows some drive and ambition rather than sitting on your hands complaining. There is help available in this business you just need to ask and know who to ask.

It's up to you to do something with the knowledge and help you do get.

Be patient with me getting back with you on this as well.

Geez, McClain... sometimes it's not about sitting on one's hands. I agree that ppl getting started should have ideas of where to go BEFORE they start the process. But actually getting the ball rolling doesn't happen until after you have your authority. And you should know that just because YOU'RE gung-ho about new contacts, those new contacts may not have the same ambition to get you signed on. And that all takes time... sitting... waiting... butt on hands... Been there, done that, as Davekc and KW will attest.

Yes will be glad when our friendly government finally send us our certificate so The few contacts answered me back will knows for sure I was on the level. Its a shame most contacts you can't get until your authority comes back, and so much for 21 days, had my insurance, LLC and filed over a month ago and will not get my certificate un ill July 1st

ICCASAP Welcome They will get you a copy of your letter of authority in 2 hours. I did it. $17.50 and they send you a pdf soon after. Time is money and they sent me a copy copy of the letter. The one I got in the mail was black and white photocopied.
