I have driven a couple of them, actually one was a 12K GVW I had for an afternoon one day and I hope they do test 'leasing 'here like they did for the sprinter - maybe I will get one for 6 months.
I think it is compatible in most ways to the sprinter, but the ride seems to be better to me and the seats were more comfortable.
The engine selection is still up in the air the last I heard, with the possibilities of the Brazilian 3.0 (or is it 3.3) diesel 4 cylinder and a V6 diesel that is made by either BMW or VW being the choice of engines. But also they may bring it in with a gasser instead. I got some press release info but it is really sketchy.
See the thing is Ford is messed up and if they would move forward with the changes for the NA market when they had the few dozen here to test a few years ago, they could have worked all the NA related bugs out of it and gained market share in the sprinter market but lost sight of it all because of the misaligned management problems and the lack of focus.
