I just got done replacing the front stabilizer bar bushings on my 2003 Ford E-350 van. And let me tell you, what a difference it made!! It took about 2 hrs to do this, and worth every minute of it.Autozone has a Polyurethane swaybar set for $25.99, made by energy suspension out of California, part # 4.5142R.
It's really easy to do, look at your sway bar where it goes into your twin I-beam axles and if the hole that it goes into is oblong shaped, it needs replaced.
First remove the sway bar mounting bolts from the frame (4) of them, then pull the sway bar out, then remove the bushings from the I-beams, Then remove the factory sleeves out of the I-beams as well. Then grease up the new ones and put them in, along with the new sway-bar bushings and enjoy a better than new handling van.An air-chisel works best for removing the sleeves. You'll be amazed.
