Fl 70 Radiator

I have to r & r a radiator on a fl70 with the 3126 cat. Have any of you actually did this and are there any hints to make the job easier. My mech a nik skills are only so so, so any info would help.

They are not too hard to R&R. Several items to remember.
1. If removing and replacing hoses, order in advance because Freightliner will not have replacements.
2. Pay particular attention to rubber mounts and reinstall exactly at the same location.
3. Do not overtighten hose clamps as you can crack radiator inlet tubes. They are very sensitive. Use a torque application.

Thanks Dave I ll set this up for a Sat. if you re going to be in Phoenix:) :) :) I can bribe you with sunshine and beer. Thanks for the post, hadnt even thought about getting the hoses ahead of time. Thanks again.

We needed a hose a couple of months ago in IL and the closest one was in Bridgeport CT. Later they found 1 and only 1 in Memphis TN.
They certainly need a better parts distribution
