Fireflies/Lightning Bugs

We were driving along last night somewhere between Missouri and Arkansas and we saw thousands (maybe millions) of fireflies (I call them lightning bugs) out in the fields and woods! What an amazing sight! It looked like little diamonds on the grass and in the woods. It is one of those things you see driving along in the middle of the night that you'd never see if you weren't on the road. I have seen them in the woods at home but never millions of them in one area. Wow!!

They are really cool until you run into a depressed batch that decide to off themselves on the windshield..
Then I wish I had that Nascar tear off film.

I just love it when we get to see a lot of them with their little green glow. Have to agree with Mike though when you run into a bunch of them a tear off on the wind shield would really be nice!

Lightning bugs are just another one of the "perks" that expediting allows us :)
Peel off windshield would work great for the lovebugs in FL too!

Can we actually purchase something to put on the windshield and peel off? Is there such a thing or are we just dreaming here? I didn't mention that after the awesome firefly show we had the truck washed. *grin*
