Fees?

I was thinking it might be helpful to us newbies if some of the experienced expediters would post exactly what fees are witheld from their freight checks. The amount of the fees would be useful, but something that would really be good is maybe just take a snapshot week and show the gross pay to the truck, then list the fees and what the check actually winds up being.

I hope I'm not prying to much on this, it would be helpful. If it is too personal, maybe just list the fees that we might see deducted from our checks.

ins depends on company how much they charge and if you go though
the company you are lease to, also do you or will you hall hazmat
as soon as you say hazmat it's more
what kind of com gear they use to get a hold of you
clink,phone,nextel etc
unforms
ifta
tolls
cargo ins, some company pay others have you pay a part
for me
nextel 100.00 includes email and other things egl requires
ins for truck 104.00 week (haul hazmat and run local more chance
of , and high risk area to
uniforms 8.00 perweek
cargo ins my part 4.00
ifta tax for fuel once a quarter or so 39.00
also if they have escrow account and how much a week until there
at the amount of escrow etc

So far, it seems that most companies requre qualcom @ $25/w
The $104/wk insurance your talking about. Is that the same as standard liablility? I can see where hazmat would be expensive.

ins. $104/wk
uniforms $8/wk
communications $25/wk
cargo ins. $4/wk
ifta $10/wk
Total = $151/wk

Am I leaving anything out?

I do need some clarification on the insurance.
I am sure I will need liability $1 mil. has been recommended.
I will buy full coverage (comprehensive).
Cargo insurance as required.

What is left? Is the liability ins. what is being deducted from your check?

104 a week is for ins for the vch as it was easier going with egl

I've heard so much talk about extra fees that are deducted from the gross pay, but i didn't have a clue as to what the actual fees were. These seem pretty fair. The recruiters don't volunteer much.
