My brother in law runs for them and to the best of knowledge he is happy there. They have alot of local accounts. But the couple of things that come to mind that i didnt care for when lookin at carriers was they hold back 2 weeks of your pay. They dont have a comdata or anything for you to get advance if needed im not big on these but still its nice if you need it and they dont have a fuel card of anykind i like having this because it comes right out of my settlement every week and only cost me a $1.50 to use it.You also have to calculate and file your own IFTA.

Hi I know this is a little late but I am also interested with expressway. If anybody has any information about past experiences with them it would be greatly appreciated. I understand they have quite a fleet of vans but only have around a dozen straight trucks. I was thinking of moving my straight truck with them because I live in the SE MI area were they are located. I have also heard they have a good base of local accounts. I have talked with them and they say they could definitely keep a straight truck busy.

Thanks, Kevin.

I advise you to talk to one or more of their drivers and ask how good they are at getting you loaded outside their area.

That's a good idea to check with their current drivers. These smaller localized carriers often incur a lot of deadhead miles on moves that take them out of their immediate area. You might have a nice move from MI to TN but then have to go back to MI empty because they don't have any accounts down there. You can't make a living doing that.

To the best of my knowledge they dont have a website. But i can tell you they have kept my brother in law pretty busy. And they do have alot of their own customers they dont COUNT ON NLM or other load boards. He has been getting his $1.20 per mile plus F/S.He said he did a load a couple of weeks ago and the customer paid 29 cents a mile for F/S.That is a exception i know but still i have never gotten more then the normal from the company i am with.He does do alot of shorter runs but sometimes those are better then longer runs and most of the time they pay better.
