just thought i would log on for a change after reading all of your informative thoughts.i have a few question that i hope someone can answer.
1.I have noticed that most if not all of the expediting companies or located in east to mideast, and is there a reason for that.

2.So is likily that if you don't live in these areas ,say you lived in Oklahoma would your home time be few and far between.

3.And say if i were to operate out of oklahoma would i have to drive teams are can i make it as a solo.

4.Thanks for your time.

Hi Alvin,
Here are my thoughts:

1: Expedited trucking started mainly to service the automotive industry, and most of the auto plants and auto parts related facitlities are east of the Mississippi. It has expanded greatly in the last few years to include many things other than the auto sector.

2: Not necessarily. Many expedite companies take a lot of loads in and out of TX, so getting back to OK wouldn't be too hard.

3: I don't think your location would have much effect on how you could do either team or solo. It has been my personal viewpoint that teams are only a money advantage if the team mate is your spouce or significant other. You can make it either way.

4: You are welcome, and welcome to EO:)

Panther and fedex are probably the largest that run freight out of OK and TX. I do occasionally see conway from time to time
