As previously mentioned, the issue needs to be addressed with how the cases are prosecuted. That is much different than abolishing the death penalty.

I think the issue should be addressed, but in a different way. If using your examples, it too quickly puts it in a place of, "maybe we should get rid of automobiles because some people die driving them". Very factual but doesn't actually address the proper resolution.
