Election Night Nov. 2, 2021

A cursory preview of last night's election results and today's headlines suggests to me that the Democratic candidates counted on people hating Trump more than they provided reasons for people to like them. With Trump himself not on the ballot, that proved to be a fatal mistake. If Trump is on the ballot in 2024, anti-Trump voter turnout may again be energized. But that did not happen last night.

Will the Democratic party as a whole learn a lesson from this and make a course correction to better connect its candidates and elected officials with the people? At present, they provide little reason for this independent voter to believe they will.

Unless they replace the radical socialists who currently guide the direction of the party, the Democrats' future looks dim for the next several years. One only needs to look at the record of dismal failures the Biden administration has accumulated so far, and the legislation they're desperately trying to pass before next Nov.

Where do the Dems go from here? Do they double and triple down on division?
They will. Dividing the population into classes is one of the principles of Marxism. If they establish haves vs have-nots they're able to offer govt solutions to the wants and needs of the have-nots. Just look at the pending legislation they're trying to ram through right now.
