DVD players

Any advantage to the DVD players that are portable stand alone units with an 8 or 9 inch screen as opposed to watching on your computer?

I have a portable one and I have velcro stickers on the bottom and have the other cotton stickers all over the van. One place is facing me on the dash . Another is the back, And the far right side of the dash for when im lounging that way you can have that goin non stop and read a mag or be on the cpu etc.

My DVD player is built into my TV...
