Hey question for you all, I just had a break down yesturday on the Indiana toll road, right after I hit a pot hole that I did try to avoid. it felt like I had a flat tire at first. Well anyways I got to side of road with 4 ways on , I got out and tires all fine , so I look under van and saw my drive shaft not laying on the ground but, was not stright going back to rear end, well tow truck came out and he told me the name of piece ( like the center bearing) that was broke and said its common for the chevy extended van. So Im down till friday morning at this point. So Im just woundering if anybody had this happen on their vans ???

I dunno whether it's common or not for the Chevy extended van - I don't own one ..... my son does however, and I don't believe he has ever replaced his.

One common name for the part (there may be others) is carrier bearing.

I haven't had an issue with the center or "carrier bearing", but I will be looking into it in the morning! Thanks for the heads up!!

If your on the east end of the turnpike and the garage can't get to ya or whatever, give Rob a cal at Biggie's expedite services. There in Redkey I.N about 100 miles south of Angola I.N he can tow,and he'll give ya a heads up on the van he has alot of them and real good techs.Might be able to help ya if your on the west end,be a bit longer tow but might be worth it.I live on the westend in I.L and can tell ya the ford dealers 110$ per hr,may be worth it if they can get ya rollin the same day.
