As a "D" driver (solo) what is a reasonable number of expected dead head miles per Week, Month.I have no clue being I'm green at this and just trying to get a figure of non-paying miles (reasonable). Also, could somebody please tell me where is the best place to be empty if the company ( Panther) for example is who you drive for. Or is there a general area to sit to maximize your chances of getting loaded. I would guess Indiana or up in that area? don't expect anybody to give secrets out but isn't this what this site is for? Also- Could you please tell me where to go for repo class 8 truck sales? Appreciate any help.

Both the wife and I run team for panther. Until you really know where the freight lanes and specific customers are at, I would highly recommend taking advantage of their repositioning. In addition, it will pay your deadhead to that location. As a single driver, OH,MI,IN,IL,KY,TN you can't go wrong. Remember, don't refuse loads that take you back into good locations.
