As some of you may know, I have nothing but problems with my Cobra nav one 5000 gps since the day I bought it.So Cobra came to a peaceful agreement about this that resulted in me being able to obtain the new 7700 pro cobra gps.I cannot say enough good about it. There are so many features on it,but what I have found so far is so much more user/driver freindly than any gps I have used or looked at.I think you can go to Cobra .com and test drive the 7700 pro.It is programmed for both cars and trucks, you decide.External speaker jack, just to name a few of the features. It even tells you what side of the street your destination is on, which my other one did not.So far, I am tickled to death with it,and I am sure you will be also.Any questions, just ask.

Garmin tells you the side of the street, but is not always correct. Does the Cobra have lane assist?

As far as telling you what lane to be in? It has a second screen that pops up highlighting what lane to be in, with an arrow on it, that tells you how many feet you have before the turn, than eventually it says turn now.

I bought a Cobra 7700 pro a month ago. It did

not take a week before I found out that this

thing was not ready to be put out on the

market. The first real scare was when it

alerted me 300 feet before an underpass that it

had only 13' 2" of clearance. I hit the brakes

hard and swerved to the sholder to stop. Then

other trucks passed under with plenty of

clearance. I was lucky there wasn't anyone

close behind me. In Kansas City it routed me

down a street that had an underpass that was

12' 2". Again I was lucky and dove into a

parking lot that was big enough to turn around

in. It likes to send you the wrong direction on

off ramps. I have yet to have it find an

address. It freezes up a lot.
Before I got home I only used it to help me in

large cities with with interstate changes, and

had to make sure as the software seems to be

out of date with the roads. I did do the

software update before I took it out.
I don't have anything good to say about the

7700. My older car gps seems to do a better

job. I am sending the 7700 back.
