Check Engine Light /08 Sprinter

Vans running fine, check engine light is coming on. All fluids are good , van running fine. Any ideas?

I don't have a Sprinter,but I imagine you have to a code reader to find out what is triggering that Light.

You really need to have the codes read. Otherwise, you can be chasing anything. I have a Scan II gauge, but even with it I get enough inaccurate readings that I have to rely on the dealership for codes. My current check engine light was caused by a bad glow plug. For a number of years the code was just an occasional anomylous temperature reading for less than 30 seconds. The list can go on.

I'm still on my first dpf, over 500,000 miles.

Agree with eb. Scan gauge helps some but still need dealer to scan.

You might want to call around most dealers charge to hook up the computer and scan. Seems like 100.00 - 125.00 is about the norm.
